Job Description – Eclipse CPCS Assembly Technician

Position:                                CPCS Assembly Technician

Hours of Work:                    7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday thru Thursday

                                                7:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Friday

Hiring Manager:                  Eclipse Production Manager

 

Position Summary:

 

The CPCS Assembly Technician shall demonstrate detailed knowledge and capability in all aspects of CPCS sub-assembly and CPCS top-assembly.  This includes assembly of products with complex  build procedures and configurations. The CPCS Assembly Technician shall also have a basic understanding of CPCS performance and function principles, safety and housekeeping skills.

This position reports to the Eclipse Production Manager.

 

Objectives

 

  1. Assemble parts using Company-approved procedures, drawings, and work instructions.
  2. Read blueprints and schematics as required to facilitate assembly.
  3. Use hand tools and inspection equipment as required to facilitate assembly.
  4. Report discrepancies, create discrepancy reports as directed and stage to MRB as required.
  5. Provide suggestions for improvements or revisions to the Eclipse Production Manager, when the opportunity arises.
  6. Advise management of discrepancies and/or problems as they arise.
  7. Continuously devise ways to improve work processes and communicate those improvements to management.
  8. Maintain open communication with internal customers at all times.

 

 

ADA Requirements

 

Key physical requirements of this position include regular attendance, sitting and standing for extended periods of time. Use of computers, standard office equipment, ability to bend and access files, perform various inspections, movement to and from office & production environments. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds properly.

 

Basic Experience

 

2 or more years of assembling complex machined parts or electronic components in an aerospace & high volume environment.  Basic knowledge of blueprint reading. Basic written, verbal communication and computer skills are required.
